Love Withington Baths consists of a core team of committed members behind the scenes, all from the local community, working hard together to drive forward the Big Vision. That said, this would not be possible without the input from many, many more people who you can meet here.
With a background in small business development, Paul has lived in some weird and wonderful countries (2 were weird, 1 was wonderful). He now works with sports clubs, helping them to secure funding to improve their facilities. Slightly below average football genes have been safely passed on to the next generation.
Sian is a property & interiors expert with 18 years practical building & design experience. Local resident, step mum and gym irregular. Full time daily job landlord, interior designer and social media addict, Sian's spare time is filled with foodie events, heritage swimming baths & being a bossy boots.
A town planner by profession with some 25+ years of experience in planning, development & regeneration in Manchester, Dave is also and events promoter by night & by day Project Manager for the new stadium for FC United of Manchester. The middle one of three generations of Mancunians who have learnt to swim at Withington Baths.
Dan is a maths graduate and MBA. Proud father of 2 girls and owner of one dog, he's a local resident, and profoundly average triathlete. By day, he's an IT programme director for a FTSE 100 company. By night, he's our numbers man.
The LWB Board would like to give the biggest thank you to Helen Corr who has stepped down from her role as company Director. Helen was one of the driving forces behind the initial campaign to keep the Baths open back in 2013 and then became our Director for marketing and communications in 2015. Helen - and partner Pete – designed, produced and managed all of our branding and communications which has been a key factor in the success of our facility. We are delighted that they will continue to do this from their new home in Croatia!
Replacing Helen on our Board is Jenny Green.
Jenny has lived in West Didsbury since 2004 and brings over 20 years of marketing experience working within the public and private sector. Jenny has also been a Governor of Cavendish Road Primary School since 2010. We are delighted that she has joined the Board as we know she has exactly the skills and experience we need in order to refine and diversify our services for our members and partners.
And not forgetting...
Every community campaign needs a go-to man, a man with a drill, a man who can. We rely on ex-city centre firefighter of 32 years and TV DIY super-hero Martin to do all our heavy stuff, fix things on walls, facilitate events and be our all-round Mr Reliable.
