Reporting directly to the Facility Manager, we are ideally looking for a highly motivated and experienced Swimming Instructor / Duty Manager with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the leisure industry. The role will require flexible working with a shift pattern – with an approximate 50:50 split between Swim Teacher and Duty Manager envisaged. This includes early starts, evenings and a regular weekend slot. We also welcome applications from candidates interested only in part-time work.
The successful candidate will have a track record of delivering high quality swimming classes and be a strong leader capable of meeting this varied and challenging role. They will have a proven track record of managing a team of staff to enable the smooth running of this unique historic leisure centre.
Remuneration: £19,700 - £20,800 annual salary (pro-rata for the part-time position) with the potential to earn additional revenue from 1-2-1 lessons.

We are looking for someone who can assist us in the co-ordination of our team of fabulous volunteers, under the direction of an appointed member of our reception team. We need a super-organised people person who can take responsibility for the organisation and management of volunteer events at Withington Baths, such as leaflet drops, DIY days, bulb planting and occasionally helping us to staff events.
We have a database of volunteers and we would like our co-ordinator to rationalise this and grow it, so that management of volunteer days becomes extremely effective. This position would suit someone who is a good communicator, proficient with systems such as Excel and is able to assist us on an ad-hoc basis. Please note that this position is also on a voluntary basis – although we are sure we can sneak you into the swimming pool for the occasional dip!

We are also looking for someone to assist us with ad hoc maintenance in and around the building, under the direction of our Centre Manager and trustee responsible for overall maintenance. If you are handy with a hammer, proficient with a paint brush, super with a screw driver and a little bit on the green fingered side, you may be just who we are looking for to help us take care of our beautiful Edwardian heritage building. Please note that initially this will be a voluntary position. Days/hours to be determined, although likely to be approximately 4-6 hours per week.
